HEALTHY SPREADABLE BUTTER RECIPE:

This is very easy to make……I start with Unsalted Cultured Butter from grass-fed, pasture-raised cows…….I use unsalted but you can use something like this. It is best to use a good quality butter to begin with.

If you have ever wondered aboutsalted vs unsalted butter, then find out which one is better for eating and which is better for baking.

TO BEGIN:

First, take yourCuisinart DLC-MiniorNinja Master Blenderand 2 sticks (1 cup) of butter. You may also use a hand mixer.

Weight of Butter:One Pound of Butter = 2 Cups = 4 Sticks in the USA ~ One Stick of Butter= 1/2 Cup

(I just had a reader from the UK ask about the weight of the butter, so I thought I should clarify! Thank you!)

CUT THE 2 STICKS (1 CUP) INTO CHUNKS THAT WILL FIT INTO YOUR BLENDER.

I usually make about 8 slices per stick and carefully add these to your blender.

NEXT, add:

1/4 cup of each of the following oils ~or~ a total of 1 cup of oil in any combination you would like!I sometimes make this will just butter, avocado oil and salt….and it is wonderful!

Organic Olive Oil

Nutiva Organic Hemp Oil

Avocado Oil~ I especially like:Chosen Foods 100% Pure Hand-crafted Avocado Oil (33.8-oz Bottle) Pack of 2

Macadamia nut oilPiping Rock 100% Pure Virgin Macadamia Nut Oil

You may substitute 1/4 melted coconut oil for any of the above oils. I likeNutiva Organic Coconut Oil

If you would like your spread to be softer, add more oil. If you would like a firmer spread, add less oil and more coconut oil.

You can always redo a batch if it is not exactly the way you want it.

Remember:the correct ratio is 1 cup butter to 1 cup oil to achieve a soft spreadable consistency.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of mineral salt. (adjust the amount of salt to taste) I have a grinder withFrontier Natural Products – Salt Himalayan Pink Coarse Grind – 1 Lb

Next, whiz up the mixture until totally smooth.

Finally, pack the Fresh Creamy Butter Spread into an airtight container or use an8 Ounce Wide Mouth Jars.I love these small 8 ounce jars for this Butter Spread. They are so easy to fill and to use. Plus, they are very easy to clean!!!

You can even store your creamy butter spread in a covered butter dish!

In Conclusion:

The next time you are at the grocery store consider buying some sticks of butter to make your own spreadable butter with this easy but healthy recipe.

And then, if you would like to take your butter spread to the next level, consider adding fresh herbs or parmesan cheese or even garlic for a spreadable garlic butter recipe or even a garlic herb butter.
