  • Hawks' Dominick Barlow: Headed to ATL

    Rotowire

The Hawks signed Barlow (knee) to a two-way contract Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

After waiving Bruno Fernando on Tuesday, the Hawks signed Barlow to a two-way pact. The move to sign the 21-year-old seemingly aligns with the club's plan to rebuild around their young core of Zaccharie Risacher (quad) and Jalen Johnson (ankle). However, Barlow may have a difficult time picking up minutes with the squad, buried behind Clint Capela, Onyeka Okongwu (toe), Larry Nance and Cody Zeller. Barlow spent two years with the Spurs, and in 2023-24, he averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds across 14.1 minutes in 29 regular-season games.

Bogdanovic put up 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes in Serbia's 110-84 loss to the United States in the Paris Olympics on Sunday.

Bogdanovic led the Serbian national team in rebounds in the blowout loss. The 31-year-old will likely be expected to shoulder much of the offensive workload alongside Nikola Jokic in the remaining games of the group phase. The issue isn't expected to have any long-term ramifications, and it's likely that the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft will be a full participant when training camp gets underway in the fall.

  • Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Struggles from floor

    Rotowire

Risacher recorded 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-5 FT), five rebounds, two assists and a block in 29 minutes during Sunday's 79-76 loss to the Hawks in Summer League.

Risacher posted a second consecutive double-digit scoring outing to kick off Summer League but struggled with efficiency. The first-overall pick has especially struggled from deep, shooting just 25.0 percent from three over his first two outings. Despite his struggle to kick off Summer League, he is a proven proficient three-point shooter, logging 45.0 percent from beyond the arc across 23 games during the EuroCup in 2023-24, so it will be surprising if his shooting woes continue for an extended period.
